This year I got to attend at
Remix Australia. And what can I say, it was awesome! One of the main subjects for the event was Silverlight. Some one calls it the new flash, I'd like to call it the better flash. Jonas had a presentation on Silverlight creating what he called YouCard. Which is a meshup of Twitter and Flickr. The idea behind the demo was just to show what you easily can do using Silverlight together with all ready established sites. Read more about YouCard on his site:
http://jonas.follesoe.noIt's a whole new era coming on! Be prepared to see things happen on the web.
Got to meet a whole lot of interesting people, and learned a lot about Silverlight, the Expression studio and some tips and tricks here and there. There was also a presentation on IE 8, which is currently only in developer Beta, which prepared us for what we have to do with our sites before the IE 8 release. Definitely got to learn more about web standards!
Too bad there is no Remix in Norway, maybe we'll have to go down to Melbourne for the next Remix.
